John Biscuti

Instruments Taught: Guitar, bass, piano, still waiting on my first mandolin student.

Main Axes:
Gretsch, Rickenbacker, & Mosrite guitars. Rickenbacker basses.

Bio:
I've got the coveted "piece of paper" from a certain posh local institution. I've been playing in crummy dive bars for a third of my life and am finally in a band I'm proud to be a part of (thejazzfuneral.com). I spend my free time working on my own home recordings, going guitar-hunting, and eating sushi (though I suppose I do that at work, too). I like long walks on the beach and crisp autumn sunsets.

Special Move:
Well, I haven't got a cool name for it yet (suggestions welcome!), but it goes something like this: by the twelfth verse of my band's third folk epic of the night (not counting the "Desolation Row" cover), at least one audience member is asleep. I then have our mandolin player sneak offstage and steal their wallet, and we all get to eat for the day. Neat, huh?
